What lives on these servers
We keep as little about you as we can, and we think you should know where our servers are and what they hold.
Stored in the EU and AU
- Chapter and speaker maps for public videos
- Embeddings and metadata about videos, for search
- Community ideas, votes and feedback you choose to send (these stay in the EU)
- A one-way code made from Plus buyers' email addresses (never the address), so Plus votes count double
We never collect*
A history of what you watch
To find chapters, the app sends us the video on screen, with your IP address like any internet request. We do not link it to you or keep a record of what you watched. We only count how often each video is looked up.
Personal information or device identifiers
Unless you turn on Contributor mode, or send us a bug report from the app.
Anything shared with marketing or advertising companies
Never, ever. We won't share your data, which is why we don't show ads in the app. It's a line we can't cross.
